Designing kitchens, selecting materials, colors, and fittings is one thing, but getting them onto the roof? That’s where the real challenge began!
Lifting Kitchens to the Rooftop – A Nerve-Wracking Experience
Carrying the kitchens up by hand? No, thank you! We appreciate a good workout, but hauling heavy kitchen modules up flights of stairs wasn’t exactly our idea of fun. That’s why we called in the real hero of the day – a crane.
Of course, we were a bit nervous. What if something went wrong during the lift? What if a kitchen decided to “take a shortcut” back down? Or if a sudden gust of wind had its own plans? Luckily, our crane operator was a true expert. He handled the equipment with such precision, it felt like he was lifting balloons rather than massive kitchen units. In the end, all six kitchens landed safely in place, and we finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Different Materials – One High Standard
For this project, we used two types of materials: our premium high-quality composite, custom-colored to the client’s preference, and HPL panels. The latter allowed us to reduce costs for some of the kitchens without compromising quality. After all, our goal is not just to create stylish and functional spaces but to do so in a way that’s cost-effective for our clients.
Battling the Wind: Magnets to the Rescue
Being on a rooftop means facing another challenge – strong gusts of wind. Naturally, we anticipated this and came up with an innovative solution: a magnetic system that keeps doors and drawers securely closed, even in the strongest winds. And you know what? This feature worked so well that we’re now making it a standard across all our kitchens. No more slamming doors—just seamless convenience!
The Details That Make a Kitchen Perfect
We always pay close attention to the details because they define quality. Every kitchen in this project features stainless steel fittings from Hettich—durable, reliable, and built to last. For barbecues, we chose two trusted brands:
And of course, the sinks are also made of stainless steel, ensuring longevity and easy maintenance.
Speaking of durability, we go the extra mile by applying a special protective spray to all stainless steel fittings. This extends their lifespan and shields them from the elements. After all, we offer up to a 10-year warranty on our kitchens—so they need to be both stunning and incredibly durable! 😊
